IPK: THE COMPANY
Supported by extensive experience accumulated over more than ten years in business, Innovative Products for Karting (IPK) stands out for its commitment to continuous progress, enabling it to make a difference in a highly competitive sector.
This pioneering approach defines the identity of a group specialised in the design and manufacturing of karts.
By combining advanced technical expertise with cutting-edge technologies, IPK manages the entire production process in-house.
With the ability to analyse every detail of its chassis and validate the performance of all components on the track, the company develops high-performance, reliable, and versatile products.
With a comprehensive range of racing karts and an equally diverse selection of rental karts, IPK caters to a global community of professionals and enthusiasts. Additionally, the company offers a range of customisable services to stay consistently close to its customers.
OUR HISTORY
Pure passion for motorsport from the get-go
IPK’s journey began at the end of 2010, when Czech entrepreneur Petr Ptacek founded a kart manufacturer with the ambitious goal of revolutionising the world of karting.
With this vision in mind, the company immediately began designing and manufacturing racing karts at its operational base in Salizzole, near Verona, fully equipped to manage the entire production cycle.
From the outset, the chassis produced by the newly established group stood out for their refinement and meticulous attention to detail—qualities that were immediately demonstrated by their on-track performance.
After making a strong impression in the international WSK competitions during its debut season, the Praga Kart chassis—the most historic brand within IPK—secured the world title the following year. In 2012, Bas Lammers won the World Cup, earning the brand the most prestigious accolade in karting’s premier class.
That same year, the OK1 brand joined the IPK family, marking the company’s first steps towards a sustained expansion in the years to come.
This growth also materialised with the development of the manufacturer’s Rental Kart Line, which made its debut at the Prague Arena facility in the Czech Republic.

The arrival of the Formula K brand in 2015 further cemented the group’s success, as the racing karts produced by the young company quickly proved their potential under these new colours.
After playing a key role in the 2017 World Championship and securing the title of European vice-champion in 2018, Jérémy Iglesias brought IPK its second world title in karting’s premier class by winning the 2020 World Championship. On the same occasion, Giacomo Pollini, competing with a private team, claimed third place in KZ2 at the FIA Karting International Super Cup.
Beyond continuously enhancing the performance of its chassis to compete at the highest levels of the sport, IPK is dedicated to prototyping new accessories designed to make its products more accessible to drivers of all experience levels.
It is precisely the quality and flexibility ensured by the group that continue to attract more drivers and teams to IPK. This commitment to meeting the diverse needs of the market has also led several entrepreneurial ventures within the karting sector to entrust the company with their projects—both in racing and rental karting.
In 2018, the addition of the RS brand completed the manufacturer’s current quartet, solidifying IPK’s prominent position on the international stage.
By investing in the latest generation of CNC machinery without ever giving up the know-how of highly specialised personnel, the group continues to grow and broaden its horizons. It is with this vision that in 2023 Petr Ptacek sold his shares to two long-standing employees, Daniel Sliva and Petr Ulbert, who then took over the reins of the company.
With a recognisable identity and leadership motivated by new energy, IPK combines tradition and innovation, cultivating the pure passion with which it has given life to its history.
OUR ASSETS

The ideas behind IPK Racing and Rental karts are conceived and developed directly within the company.
Using advanced technologies, engineers lay the foundations for projects that are then implemented concretely by the production department. By meticulously studying every nuance of its karts, IPK Engineering provides timely indications to those who manufacture the chassis and components designed directly by the group.
In addition to designing and testing new products, this specialised department uses the vast amount of data it constantly collects to analyse and refine the products marketed by the company.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS
THE POLICE
The skills acquired by the IPK staff in over ten years of activity in karting are so advanced that they are also required and used outside of the sector.
It is thanks to the recognition of its know-how that IPK Engineering finds itself designing and producing the external chassis of the quads used by the police in the Czech Republic.
TILLOTSON
Tillotson chassis are designed and built entirely by IPK, which dedicates the same diligence to its partners' products as it does to its own.
Although the IPK Engineering brand is not visible, the technical characteristics of the components make the intervention of the manufacturer's research and development department easily recognisable.
The company's support is even more evident when the group provides on-site support for some of the events organised by Tillotson.
